Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan believes Stephane Sessegnon and Sulley Muntari will prove to be shrewd signings for Sunderland.
The Black Cats were kept busy during the January transfer window, with the new arrivals offset by the sale of Darren Bent to Aston Villa.
Some of the ã18million they recouped for the England striker was splashed out on Benin international Sessegnon, who was snapped up for ã6million from Paris St Germain.
The 26-year-old has settled quickly at the Stadium of Light, with his creative ability proving to be a hit with his team-mates.
"He's a fantastic player. I know him from France and he was one of the best players in France," said former Rennes striker Gyan.
"He hasn't played for a while, but since he came here, he has done well in the Premier League.
"He's a ball juggler and if he is in top shape, he will help the team."
