Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan says he is not under pressure to score goals at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
He was one of the in-form players before the tournament after scoring 13 goals for UAE side Al Ain.
But the 25-year-old fired blank in Ghana's opener against Botswana on Tuesday.
Gyan believes goal scoring should be the collective responsibility of the team.
"I am not under any pressure at all to score. What is most important is for the team to get a win and it doesn't matter who scores," Gyan said
"Of course as a striker my job is to score goals but at the end of the day if you even score one or two and the team losees , what’s the point.
"We work as a team and what I'm concerned about is to contribute my quota for us to do well and win."
Gyan was Ghana's top scorer at the 2010 finals in Angola with three goals.
The Black Stars face joint Group leaders Mali on Saturday at the Stade Franceville.
