Gyan returns to training to boost Ghana

Asamoah Gyan allayed Ghana injury fears by retuning to full scale training with the Black Stars on Friday.

The Al Ain striker came of mid-Thursday's session with a big ice pack wrapped around his right ankle.

Team doctors however say it was a precautionary measure to ensure the knock picked up by the 26-year-old in Ghana's opening Nations Cup game against Botswana does not worsens.

Gyan however fully took part in the final training session ahead of Ghana's second Group D game against Mali on Friday in buoyant mood.

He took part in gruelling exercises and moved very well to indicate his match-fitness to start against the Eagles at the Stade de Franceville.

Captain John Mensah is however still out with a thigh strain and did not take part in the training session.
