Chief scout of Hammarby IF Bjørn Paulsen has compared new-acquired centre-back Kossounou Odilon to Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo.

Paulsen scouted Addo for the Swedish side during the 2015 campaign and the Ghanaian went ahead to establish himself as one of the best defenders in the Allsvenskan.

The hard-tackling guardsman was eventually sold to Belgian Jupilar Pro League side KRC Genk for a fee reported to be around â‚¬2 million in 2017.

The Green and White lads signed Kossounou Odilon from Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas last week and Paulsen has likened the youngster to Aidoo.

"Personality is very similar to Aidoo, I see the same glow in the eyes. But Aidoo was better in the defense game while Odilon is better tactical and in the game with ball," Hjelmberg told Nyheter24.

"The security with the ball, it really impresses to be the center back. He is almost double-legged, he can beat crusher balls with both feet."

"Odilon has a good tactical ability. He is often well placed and has great courage, and then there is also a great improvement potential in the tactics."
