Hazard talks up dream move

Published on: 08 June 2019

Eden Hazard has admitted it was a tough decision to leave Chelsea but he’s delighted to secure a move to his dream club Real Madrid.

The Belgian international was long linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and now the former Lille playmaker has secured his move to the La Liga giants.

Chelsea look set to land a fee that could exceed £150m for the forward, who will be presented as a Los Blancos player on 13th June after his medical.

Hazard has conceded it was not an easy decision to end his time with the Blues but now he is looking forward to the next chapter of his career after signing a five-year deal at Real.

"It's no secret that it was my dream to play for them since I was a young boy just scoring my first goal," said Hazard in a Facebook post.

"Now the clubs have reached an agreement I hope you understand I had to pursue my next chapter, just as each and every one of you should when you have the chance to pursue your dreams.

"Leaving Chelsea is the biggest and toughest decision in my career to date.

"I have loved every moment at Chelsea and not once did I ever consider, nor would I have left for, any other club."

Chelsea are 20/1 to win the Premier League next season.
