Hearts coach Kim Grant heap praises on youngster Manaf Umar

Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Kim Grant has lavished praises on teenage sensation Manaf Umar following his blistering form in the off-season. 

The 18-year old, who was handed his first professional contract last month has been impressive since joining the senior side.

Umar netted a brace as the Phobians beat regional rivals Liberty Professionals 3-2 in a friendly on Wednesday afternoon.

“Manaf is a fantastic talent but it doesn’t stop there, I am really pleased with him but this are just friendly games. We need to see it in main games,” Grant told footballmadeinghana.com

“He plays to instructions and I am pleased for his goals against Liberty, is a reward for his hard work. He is taking on board everything I taught him,” he added.

The former Auroras midfielder also scored in the friendly against Evergreen FC.

Hearts of Oak will play Dreams FC on Sunday in the S.T Nettey Memorial Cup match.
