Ghanaian Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed they have parted ways goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy.

The 31-year-old leaves the club by mutual consent after six seasons.

"For Maccarthy, we can confirm that the club has decided to part ways with and we have blessed him to find a club" Hearts PRO Muheed Saeed told Angel FM.

Highlights of McCarthy's performance at Hearts of Oak came in the 2008/09 season when he won the Ghanaian league title with the Phobians. McCarthy is in his second spell with the Club but he has been afflicted with niggling injuries since his return.

The former Black Stars keeper could join any club of his choice as the Ghanaian transfer window still remains opened.

He was linked with a move to a Norwegian club last month.

Hearts have reportedly secured the signature of Ghana U20 glovesman Seidu Mutawakiru.
