Higuain excluded from AC Milan squad ahead of Chelsea move

Chelsea’s capture of Gonzalo Higuain is edging ever closer as the Argentine has been left out of Gennaro Gattuso’s AC Milan squad ahead of their game against Genoa.

Higuain is expected to complete his move to Stamford Bridge imminently and Gattuso has taken the decision not to take the No.9 to Liguria with the team.

Suso does, however, return to the group while Hakan Calhanoglu is also involved, despite recent reports linking him with a Stadio San Siro exit.

The complete squad, as named by the 40-year-old on Sunday afternoon, is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Donnarumma A., G. Donnarumma, Reina.
Defenders: Abate, Conti, Laxalt, Musacchio, Rodriguez, Simic, Strinic, Zapata.
Midfielders: Bakayoko, Bertolacci, Mauri, Montolivo, Paqueta, Torrasi.
Forwards: Borini, Calhanoglu, Castillejo, Cutrone, Suso, Tsadjout.
