In-form Čukarički winger Samuel Owusu bids time for Ghana call-up

Talented Ghanaian winger Samuel Owusu is bidding his time for a call-up into the Black Stars following an explosive form in the Serbian SuperLiga.

The 22-year-old, who plays for top-flight side ÄŒukarički, has been a toast of managers and fans over the past seasons.

The Ghanaian star has bagged six goals and contributed several assists in 24 appearances for the Serbian SuperLiga side.

The former Vision FC maestro has shown immense quality, becoming a key cog of the side since the start of the season.

He has been a mainstay of the ÄŒukarički, side, steering the wheel of the Serbian side to fourth on the league table.

The versatile Ghanaian, who can also operate in deep-lying midfield, has been overlooked for international call-up despite the consistent displays.

But he wants to bid his time for a national team call-up.

"There is no need to hurry. The right time will come to get a Black Stars call-up," he said

"The coach is the one who decides which player to call and at what time. Let's all support him to succeed.

"I remain confident that I will get my chance at the appropriate time. I'm young and have a lot of years ahead of me.

"It will be a dream come true to wear the national colours. But I believe that will happen in due time."

Touted as one of the most exciting youngsters in the Serbian SuperLiga, Samuel Owusu has earned rave review for his sublime performances.
