Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has penned a new deal that will keep him at Leicester City until the summer of 2022.

Amartey joined the Foxes from Danish giants FC Copenhagen during the 2016 winter transfer window.

He featured sparingly as they clinched the English Premier League title that season.

The 23-year-old has however become a mainstay under French manager Claude Puel, featuring 9 times in the league until he suffered a broken leg two months ago.

Despite his injury, the Foxes have extended his contract until 2022.
