Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom is backing the national Under-20 team to win the 2011 African Youth Championship in South Africa.
The Black Satellites have been tipped by many to defend the trophy they won in Rwanda in 2009 following a roller coaster run in the qualifying round.
The team is paired in Group B with powerhouses Nigeria, Cameroon and Gambia in Group B.
But the Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk right-back, a member of the 2009 winning team, is sure the current generation can replicate their achievement.
"I know itââ¬â¢s going to be very tough but if they believe in themselves and work for each other they will win the championship," Inkoom said.
"Itââ¬â¢s a big challenge to them to emulate what we did in 2009 and thatââ¬â¢s where they must remain focus because theyââ¬â¢ll get our total support as Ghanaians and that will be huge. I expect them to win and I have no doubt about that."
