Inter have reportedly made contact to sign Genoa’s Uruguayan full-back Cristian Ansaldi while Roma also remain interested in the 29-year-old.

The defender is on loan at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris from Zenit St Petersburg but the Rossoblu are expected to make the move permanent.

According to FcInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are ready to loan Assange Gnoukouri to Genoa and allow the €2.5 million rated Diego Laxalt who has spent the 2015-16 season with the Grifone in exchange for Ansaldi.

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi would prefer to wait until the end of the season before turning his attention to the transfer market although he is reportedly aware that Roma are potentially ready to make a more attractive of straight cash for the player.

Ansaldi has started in 21 Serie A fixtures during the 2015-16 season, delivering three assists.
