Inter and Roma plan talks for Juventus defender

Inter and Roma are set to speak to the agent of Juventus defender Martin Caceres this week, as they look to strike a deal for the Uruguayan who is out of contract in June.

The 28-year-old has rarely featured for the Bianconeri this season and may be open to a move away from the Juventus Stadium this summer.

According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, the Nerazzurri and the Giallorossi are set to speak to Caceres’ agent, who is the former Napoli and Roma striker Daniel Foncesa, on either Wednesday or Thursday this week.

There has been initial contact between the three parties previously regarding a deal for the defender in the summer, but no agreement was reached.

The Old Lady, meanwhile, haven’t given up hope of persuading the Montevideo born defender re-signing with them, as they see him an important member of the Bianconeri squad and also hope to speak with Fonseca in the coming days.

The former Sevilla defender has only made four appearances this campaign, and only 60 appearances in total in five seasons in Serie A with the Turin side.
