Inter fine Icardi after late arrival

Mauro Icardi has reportedly been fined â‚¬100,000 by Inter after turning up late for the club’s return to training.

The Argentine isn’t the first Nerazzurri player to be disciplined by the team in recent times, as Radja Nainggolan was fined and frozen out of the squad in December ahead of their key match with Napoli due to repeatedly turning up late.

Sky Sport Italia reports Icardi has been fined by the club, as he was late for training when Inter got back to business on Tuesday.

The news will do little to quell the rumours surrounding the Argentine’s future, as talks surrounding a new contract continue to drag on.

Wife and agent Wanda Nara made it clear that both parties remain distant on details when speaking with the press on Wednesday.

Recent reports have stated that Icardi and his representatives have asked for â‚¬9m a season, meanwhile Inter have so far been unwilling to budge from their offer of â‚¬7m.
