Mauro Icardi is represented by his wife, Wanda Nara.

Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi said on Thursday he wanted his wife Wanda Nara to continue working as his agent for the rest of his career.

Icardi's comments came after Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Inter wanted to deal with a different agent as the two sides negotiate a possible extension to the striker's contract.

Inter have not commented on the report or the negotiations.

"It'll always be Wanda who takes care of my and our interests until the end of my career," Argentine Icardi said on Instagram.

The 25-year-old, whose contract has 2-1/2 years to run, has been Inter's leading marksman in Serie A for the past four seasons, scoring 22, 16, 24 and 29 goals.

But he often features in the gossip columns rather than the sports pages thanks to his marriage to Nara, an Argentine media personality who was previously married to Icardi's former Sampdoria teammate and compatriot Maxi Lopez.
