Inter’s Palacio the latest Serie A star in Chinese sights

Inter striker Rodrigo Palacio is the latest Serie A star to become the main target of a club in China.

The Argentine hitman could follow former teammate Fredy Guarin as well as Gervinho in moving from Italy to East Asia, where the promise of a bumper contract and other perks alluring.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Jiangsu Suning are chasing after Palacio after being snubbed by their previous target, former Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Palacio only signed a new contract with Roberto Mancini’s side earlier this month, putting pen to paper on a one year extension to his deal which sees him contracted until 2017.

The 33-year-old has made 15 Serie A appearances so far this season for Inter scoring one goal, a far cry from his 2013-14 heyday where he hit the back of the net 17 times.
