John Pantsil marks 100th English League cap with defeat

Published on: 17 October 2011

Ghana defender John Pantsil earned his 100th cap in English Football on Sunday as Leicester City suffered a 2-0 reverse at Birmingham.

The right-back was introduced by Sven-Goran Eriksson in the 57th minute as the Foxes tasted the defeat in the Npower Championship.

Pantsil moved to the second-tier league this summer after seeing out his contract at Fulham.

However, the 30-year-old has dropped down the pecking order and has been unused in their last three matches.

He has been playing in England since 2006 where he joined West Ham United after the Fifa World Cup finals.
