Black Stars and Columbus Crew defender, Jonathan Mensah for the second time spent time with family and friends tidying up and donating to the mentally challenged at Dzorwulu Special School in Accra on Saturday. This comes after a first donation to the school in 2016.

The Jonathan Mensah Foundation donated food items, toiletries, educational accessories, football equipment and other valuable items to the students and teachers of the institution

Earlier, Jonathan and The Honourable group who are also known for helping the less privileged held a clean-up exercise on the school’s premises; clearing the weeds and rubbish together with members from Zoomlion Ghana Limited.

The Jonathan Mensah Foundation which was established by the U20 World Cup winner helps the less privileged in the society by donating food items, shelter and other valuable items which will bring smiles to the faces of ordinary people in society.

Speaking after the donation, the former Ashantigold defender said giving back to society helps him relish his dreams and fills his heart with joy.

“This is something that I have been doing for a while now so whenever we are in Ghana we make arrangements, plans and get information from them and the things they need and we provide for them. It’s just incredible because it’s something my heart really loves, whenever I do this my heart rejoices.”

The headmaster of Dzorwulu Special School thanked the Jonathan Mensah Foundation for their kind gesture and prayed for God’s blessings upon the player and his family ahead of the new season.

The event was ably supported by Beyond The Stand a US mission group who help philanthropic players to reach out to numerous people who are less privileged and PassionSports8 which is also based in Italy.
