Joseph Aidoo has thanked Genk fans after sealing his 5 Million Euros move to Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo on Thursday.
The 23-year-old's move was confirmed by both teams after Aidoo put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal.
He spent two years at the Belgian side, making 65 appearances and scoring four goals.
Aidoo played a key role as Genk were crowned champions of Belgium last season.
“To all #Genkies, thank you for your support the past two years! It has been a real experience professionally,” he posted on Facebook.
“It was an awesome experience winning the 2019 Belgian Championship 🏆 with a great team, coaches and all the staff that makes this all work at Genk.
“I will now also be a support in cheering on Genk’s future games. I look forward to a new beginning with Celta Vigo and open to experience and growth ahead,"He added .
His exploits last season earned him a call-up into the Black Stars squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
