Joseph Mensah scores for Sepsi in shock win over Steaua Bucuresti in Romania

Ghanaian winger Joseph Mensah was on target for Sepsi as they shocked Steaua Bucuresti by 3-1 in the Romanian top flight league on Wednesday.

Sepsi, who have been brilliant in the campaign started the game brightly, deservedly fetched the opener in the 32nd minute through Gabriel Vasvari before Florin Stefan extended their advantage four minutes later.

The hosts came back from where they left off in the first half and added a third goal courtesy Ibrahima Tandia in the 53rd minute but Florinel Coman pulled a goal back for the visitors with a superb strike on the 61st minute.

Steaua Bucuresti hopes of getting a point from the game were boosted after Raul Rusescu struck on the 88th minute.

However, Sepsi quelled off their late onslaught when Joseph Mensah beuatifully placed his shot past goalkeeper Cristian Balgradean in the 94th minute.

The win has propelled Sepsi to 5th on the log with 27 points after 18 matches.
