Juventus reignite interest in Chelsea playmaker

Published on: 15 December 2015

Chelsea’s attacking midfielder Oscar is back on Juventus’ wish list as reports suggest the Old Lady will launch a January bid for the Brazilian.

Having sold assist-leaders Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez in the summer, there were fears that Juve would lack for creativity, and while coach Massimiliano Allegri has since employed Paul Pogba in behind the strikers to good effect it appears the Serie A champions still seek a new playmaker.

After a â‚¬25 million bid was rejected by Chelsea in the summer, the revitalised Bianconeri are returning to West London to make a renewed effort to sign Oscar with a fresh bid of around €40m, according to Fichajes.net.

While a key player in lifting the 2014/15 Premier League crown, 24-year-old Oscar has faded along with many of his Chelsea team-mates this time around, scoring just once as the Blues flounder to 16th position.
