Juventus are reportedly interested in Barcelona’s Thomas Vermaelen with the Turin outfit looking to even further shore up their defence.
The former Arsenal skipper is viewed by the Bianconeri as a much cheaper alternative compared to Bayern Munich’s Medhi Benatia who reports suggest would be a costly addition.
As reported by Tuttosport, the Belgian international’s services would cost the reigning Italian champions a fee of no less than â¬10 million which is an amount deemed fit given his track record of injuries.
Another one on Juve’s transfer target list is right-back Hector Moreno who plies his trade in the Netherlands with Dutch giants PSV. The Mexican is seen as a replacement for outgoing defender Martin Caceres and may the set the Italian giants back by â¬15 million.
Vermaelen moved to Spain in 2014 but has struggled for first team action making only a meagre 11 appearances for the current European champions.
