"I had many Turkish friends around me in Berlin. I had many friends from BeÅŸiktaÅŸ, where I grew up together. And as soon as the news came out, they texted me and said, "You're finally going home."," he added.

The well traveled player was however shocked by the facilities and level of professionalism at the club, indicating that comes with some form of pressure.

"I was a little surprised by what I saw after coming to BeÅŸiktaÅŸ to tell the truth. Of course, I knew BeÅŸiktaÅŸ was a big club, but when you don't get into it, you cannot see some things.," noted the striker.

"I saw that the level of professionalism here is very high. I saw that the structure of the club was very solid. On the one hand, this shows that there is a lot of pressure and there is a lot of work to be done."
