Karela United won't renew contract of 'politician' defender Godfred Saka

Karela United have decided against renewing the contract of evergreen defender Godfred Saka, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.

Saka, who joined the Nzema-based side as a free agent, will have to look elsewhere when his current deal expires next month.

The former Aduana Stars defender signed a one-year deal with Karela United in January 2018.

But the club has decided against extending his deal after growing impatient with the player's 'political' attitude.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands the officials of the Aiyinase side have been unhappy with his public utterances about the club amid claims of unpaid five months salary.

The 30-year-old was snapped up on a free transfer after leaving Ghanaian champions Aduana where he had spent seven seasons.

He made 5 assists and scored once last season but spent the second half of 2017 in the treatment room.
