Ghanaian defender Karim Alhassan is set to be transfer-listed by Egyptian giants Zamalek after failing to impress the whites in his first season, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The ex-Ghana youth star has been left out of Zamalek's squad that will play in this year's CAF Champions League.

The former Hearts of Oak skipper joined the five-time African champions for a reported US$ 1.3 million but has struggled to make first team action.

Per the Egyptian Football Regulations, clubs are expected to register only three foreign nationals in their first team.

With Al Hilal Zimbabwean striker Edward Sadomba set to join the foreign duo of Razak Omotoyossi and Cameroonian Alexis Enam in Zamalek squad, the Ghanaian would be surplus to requirement.
