Roma midfielder Seydou Keita believes that since Luciano Spalletti took charge, the team has a new spirit and belief that they can beat anyone.

The Giallorossi have furthered their winning streak to four games, helping them revive their season after gaining three more points with a 3-1 victory over Carpi.

“The new coach changed our mentality, we have more to improve but we are on the right track,” he said into the microphones of Roma Radio. “It is a very positive moment for everyone at the club, as well as for the fans.

“When a team starts winning, it gets easier to correct the minor errors, so we can play better and better.”

The 36-year-old then turned his thoughts to the Giallorossi’s upcoming Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

“Our match with Real Madrid is an important one.

“I have played against Real many times while playing in Spain, they are a tough team.

“But we have to have confidence and believe in ourselves on the pitch.

“The Champions League is very intense, it’s is similar to the Derby della Capitale with Lazio.

“Real is a good team, but no one is unbeatable.”

The Giallorossi will be hopeful of securing qualification for next season’s Champions League, as they currently sit in fourth place, just two points behind Fiorentina in third.
