Kenya midfielder Chris Mbamba is set to debut for the Harambee Stars against Ghana after securing his his East African passport from the Immigration department.

Mbamba was born in Zimbabwe to a Namibian father and Kenyan mother.

He schooled in Sweden and also enjoyed a short stint at English side Port Vale.

Despite featuring for Sweden as a youth international, he has decided to play for Kenya as a senior international.

He travelled on a Swedish passport to Kenya where he impressed coach Sebastian Migne.

Mbamba is part of the 24-man squad expected in Accra on Thursday to face the Black Stars in a final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier who decide who tops Group F.
