Kevin-Prince Boateng reveals player divisions in Black Stars World Cup camp
Kevin-Prince Boateng says some players were happy he was sacked from the Ghana camp

Germany midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that there was a big division among the players in Ghana's 2014 World Cup squad in Brazil with some happy that he was kicked out of the squad for indiscipline.

Despite goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey's claims that Boateng and Sulley Muntari stood up for the other Black Stars players and that is the reason for their sacking, the Germany-born midfielder says some players were happy about the decision to sack Muntari and him for indiscipline.

The former AC Milan midfielder was sacked from the Ghana camp for verbally abusing coach Kwesi Appiah while Muntari was booted out of the team to physically assaulting a management member.

Boateng says there was in-fighting in the team with players talking bad about each other behind their backs.

“No. It wasn’t a real team. Everyone was occupied with himself, everyone was talking bad about each other. There were two or three players who were happy about Sulley Muntari’s and my suspension,” Boateng told Bild.

“And those players had told me that I was right about everything. Everyone knows that I have never insulted the coach but they spoke against Sulley and me in front of him."

With this revelation, some players in the squad could be angered by Boateng's claims which could result in the other players talking back at the Germany-born star.

The Black Stars team of of early 1990s failed to reach their full potential despite the presence of world beaters Abedi Pele and Anthony Yeboah because of the divisions in camp.

If not controlled, this could affect the future of the Black Stars as players would be suspicious of each other.
