Klose commits to Canaries

Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has handed central defender Timm Klose a new three-year deal at Carrow Road.

The 31-year-old Switzerland international is now under contract with the Canaries until the summer of 2022.

Klose joined the club in January 2016 and played a key part in the team's Championship title success this term.

He said: "When I came to Norwich, I had no expectations because I knew it was going to be half a year and then we were going to watch what was going to happen from there.

"Summer came, we went down [from the Premier League] and I had some offers to leave the club but I turned them down and tried to get the team back up.

"I struggled a lot in the first Championship year. It was hard but I have fought my way back and I am so happy to have gone through all the ups and downs."

Klose has featured in 110 league games for Norwich having previously played for Nuremberg, Thun and Wolfsburg.

Norwich can be backed at 4/5 not to be relegated from the Premier League in 2019/20 while Sheffield United are 6/5 and Brighton 2/5.
