Kotoko arranges sit down with recalcitrant Toure

Asante Kotoko will hold a showdown meeting with 'bad boy' striker Ahmed Toure on Friday.

The Ivorian was granted a two-week compassionate leave by the club to visit his ailing mother in Cote d'Ivoire.

He however attracted the fury of top brass officials and supporters by over-staying his leave and only arriving Thursday night.

Last season's Premier League Best Player argues his delay was due to the slow pace of recovery of his mother.

Management however is clearly unsatisfied with Toure's excuse and intends meeting with him one-on-one to thrash out all issues before a firm decision is taken.

It was reported Toure was angling for a move away from Kotoko since the departure of strike partner Nathaniel Asamoah to Serbian club Red Star Belgrade.

Friday's meeting will be chaired by Executive Chairman Dr. K.K Sarpong with head coach Maxwell Konadu and other officials expected to sit in.
