Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu has turned his sights on Mighty Jets after seeing his side let a one-goal lead at Berekum Arsenals slip.
Kotoko were well on their way to securing a vital three point away from home when Awal Mohammed’s rush challenge handed Arsenals a late penalty which they converted to grab a priceless point.
But Konadu insists Sunday’s disappointed has been long forgotten and is already looking ahead to the mid-week clash against Mighty Jets.
“I was disappointed we were unable to win the match on Sunday but anyone who knows football will know that such things happen,†he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“We were leading at a time and had other chances to bury the game and later on a mistake was made late in the game caused us but this is football.
“Nothing went wrong for us and we hope we can build upon Sunday’s performance to win our home game against Mighty Jets.â€
Sunday’s result meant Kotoko had to surrender their two-week hold on top of the Premier League table to rivals Hearts of Oak but the ex Wa All Stars coach is adamant it is the least of his worries.
“Hearts were before on top of the league before we took over so the fact that they are now on top does not bother me at all.
“The league is not over yet and I only can concentrate on how to make my team better to pick up enough points if we really want to win the cup,†he added.
