Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu will head-hunt for his assistant before the start of the new Premier League campaign, GHANAsoccernet.com has learnt.

The All Africa Games gold medal winning assistant coach is without deputy less than two weeks to the start of the league.

Kotoko's target for the post Yusif Abubakar swerved the club to sign for big-spenders Medeama SC last week.

Many names have been speculated for the vacant position even though Konadu has remained tight-lipped on his choice.

Konadu, a former Kotoko striker, will not sit on the bench for the high-profile friendly against arch rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
