Kotoko are considering a proposal to play either Asec Mimosa or Africa Sports in an international friendly.

The Premier League Champions are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to craft a formidable squad to defend their crown and make a meaningful impact in next year’s Caf Champions League.

The Kumasi-based will begin camping at the end of the month at Adukrom and have lined up series of high-profile friendly matches to put the team in good stead ahead of next season.

The club has confirmed they are in negotiations to play one of the Ivorian clubs in an international at the Baba Yara stadium at a yet to be determined date.

“We have lined  series of friendly matches. I must say that there is a proposal to play either Asec Mimosa or Africa Sports,” Board member Alhaji Abu Lamine said

“There is also a team in Togo that we might play as well. We want to ensure we put the team in good shape because we want to defend the Premier League title.”

Kotoko will also engage lower division one sides Okwahu United and Pure Joy in series of friendly matches .
