The Ghana Football Association could sanction Asante Kotoko for failing to control their fans in Sunday's 'Super clash' against rivals Hearts of Oak.

A section of their fans threw stones onto the field in protest for what they perceived as bias officiating against centre man Awal Mohammed even tough television replay showed he was spot on.

Security personnel detailed at the stadium looked on sheepishly as some of the irate supporters continued to misbehave.

They failed to make a single arrest but the FA is likely to launch an investigation into the incident and offer appropriate sanctions to the Porcupine Warriors.

A similar incident claimed more than 120 lives when a section of Kotoko fans broke seats and pelted match officials after Hearts won on 2-1 in a Premier League game on May 9, 2001 in the Stadium disaster.
