Kotoko PRO Sarfo Duku believes Hearts benefited financially from the two legged friendly

Public Relations Officer of Asante Kotoko Sarfo Duku insists Hearts of Oak benefited more in terms of finances made from the two legged friendly encounter. 

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated Hearts of Oak in a back to back friendly encounter in the space of seven days.

However, the game could not do away with controversies after some Hearts fans were apprehended for destroying properties.

This has led to the Phobians pulling out of the JA Kuffuor Cup insisting they were unfairly treated.

Meanwhile Sarfo Duku says a few section of the fans were Hearts supporters and could not contribute significantly interms of gate proceeds which was shared.

The idea to play such a friendly match was initiated by Hearts of oak but suffered a 4-0 defeat on aggregate over the two legs. Despite the painful loses, the Phobians made an approximate net of GHC 90,000 likewise Kotoko, but Sarfo Duku believes Hearts of oak used Kotoko to enrich themselves.

“It’s all about Kotoko, looking at things Hearts used us to gain money”, Sarfo Duku stated, speaking to FOX 97.9 FM on Rush Hour sports.

When asked why he claims so, Sarfo referred to the fact that most of the fans that trooped to the stadium were Kotoko fans as Hearts fans were less than 20% of the total attendance.

“Their supporters who came were less than 20% of you calculate it and to be honest, the evidence was so clear, all of you (the media) were there, everyone know it in Ghana, and it’s an open secret”, he boasted.
