Kotoko wish Kwesi Nyantakyi well in Caf poll

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have sent a goodwill message to FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi as he contests for a Caf Executive Committee position today.

A statement signed by the club's administrative manager Ben Nti read:

"As delegates from the 53 Football Associations from across the continent gather for the 32nd Ordinary General Assembly on Wednesday, we are confident that you will convincingly garner the required 27 votes to succeed General Seyi Memene of Togo.

"The confidence of Kotoko is even heightened by the withdrawals by your contenders who did not only pull out, but also openly declared their unflinching support for you.

"Kumasi Asante Kotoko is hopeful that even though it promises to be a tight election between you and Mr. Anjorin Moucharafou of Benin, you will scale through without much sweat."
