Kwadwo Asamoah has expressed his delight with the performance of Inter Milan during the first half of the Italian Serie A.
The Nerrazuri started the 2018/19 campaign on a stuttering note after losing 1-0 to US Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.
Luciano Spalletti’s charges however ended the first stanza of the season with a flourish following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Empoli over the weekend to consolidate their 3rd position on the log.
Asamoah, who has been a key cog for the capital-based outfit since joining from Juventus in the summer, is elated with the three points picked at the Castellani on Saturday but more especially their display over the course of the first round.
“It is very important for us because we always want to win, especially these count very much to move forward in the standings, end the year with a victory so it takes. This goal is worth a lot, it's very important, it brings us victory. We could have done more but in the end we did a good result. So much intensity and so many emotions, there are still six months left to finish what we have done, but we also need to grow more.”
