Ghana youth international striker Kwame Nsor netted the opening goal for FC Metz and inspired them to a 2-0 away victory over CA Bastia in the French second-tier league on Friday night.

With Metz in firm control at the summit of the table of Ligue 2 table, they were favourites to beat the Bastia who are at the foot of the table.

But the relegation-trapped side held the leaders for the opening 45 minutes as any attempt to nail their defence failed.

But after the break, Nsor returned to score the first goal for Metz at the Stade Armand Césari before assisting in the second scored by Yeni N'Gbakoto.

Nsor's return to the club from Germany after an unsuccessful spell with Kaiserslautern has seen him hit a top scoring form for the league leaders, scoring four times in their campaign so far.
