Ghana football is set for a new era after two of the country's richest football administrators were elected onto the executive committee of the federation.
Berekum Chelsea owner Emmanuel Kyeremeh and Moses 'Mospacka' Armah the bankroller of Medeama Sporting Club won their seats on the powerful committee on Wednesday.
Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi vowed to revive the local game when he won a second term last month, promising radical changes in football administration.
He has now secured a mix of experienced administrators, money-men and thinkers to chart a new course for the country's favourite sport.
Among those who won their places on the executive committee are Felix Ansong, the brain behind Liberty Professionals successes and Kotoko's experienced administrator Emmanuel Owusu Ansah.
Hearts of Oak chief Fred Crentsil and Randy Abbey of Mighty Jets were the only ones in the Premier League category to retain their seats.
The big losers on the day were Kudjo Fianoo the CEO of AshGold, an astute administrator, who could not garner the necessary votes to stay on.
Jones Abu Alhassan, a lawmaker of the Ghana FA, also lost his seat to complete the massive clear-out after some opted not to stand for re-election.
Nyantakyi will have to wait for the next round of election results to complete the team he will work with for the next four years.
Crucially, Fred Pappoe, his trusted assistant, who has been in charge of the Black Stars successes at the World Cup must win his place to help Nyantakyi continue the development of the game in the country.
Now with businessmen and brainiest on board, the radical reforms planned by Nyantakyi can be backed by the necessary financial backing and sponsorship packages required to move the country's game into the right direction.
Kyeremeh has been the man in charge of Berekum Chelsea successes, having challenged giants Kotoko and Hearts of the country's best players, culminating in their title win.
The banking and real estate magnate is keen on using his business experience to help the game's development in Ghana.
Armah, a mining mogul, completed the country's biggest takeover of a club last year transforming Kessben FC to Medeama SC.
Medeama moved from also-rans to title contenders with his big player purchases and strategic sponsorship agreements.
While, Kofi Manu, Desmond Frimpong-Manso and Frederick Mensah were major casualties of the elections for premier league clubs, their experience will be needed in other committees on the FA.
The key for the new members of the executive committee is the revival of the youth national teams as well as women's football, apart from the local game.
