Legon Cities defender Nicholas Mensah reveals readiness for Ashantigold clash

Legon Cities FC defender Nicholas Mensah insists his side is ready for the big game against Ashantigold at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday evening. 

The Royals host the flawless Miners on match day four as they search for a first victory in this season's campaign.

Nicholas Mensah, who made a cameo appearance against Dreams FC in their impressive goalless draw on Sunday disclosed his side is very ready for Ashantigold.

"Ashantigold being a good team in Ghana, it's not going to be an easy game but we are very prepared and very determined to get the three points tomorrow," he said at the club's pre match conference.

Having joined the club as a member of Wa All Stars, Mensah expressed delight in his performance against Dreams FC and hopes he gets the chance to break into the starting line up.

"I am very happy with my performance against Dreams FC.  I am not here to sit on the beanch, I am here to make it into the starting team," he added.

Legon Cities FC have two points from three games, after two draws and a defeat. However, the Royals are poised for a first win on Wednesday.

Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has been billed to perform at half time as part of the club's initiative to entertain the crowd.
