Leicester City set to compete with Juventus for Serie B star

Premier League champions Leicester City are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Pescara striker, Gianluca Lapadula.

As The Foxes prepare to bolster their squad during the summer transfer window, they have already identified the 26-year-old as an ideal addition for their side, and could make a bid during the forthcoming months.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Leicester’s coach Claudio Ranieri has already called Pescara’s president Daniele Sebastiani.

However, reports indicate that the call was merely informative, as the Delfino striker is currently a target for Juventus, and the Leicester boss is well aware of this stiff competition.

Lapadula is currently valued in the region of €2 million, but the price could swiftly rise if the two  clubs were to start competing in a price war.

The striker has been an outstanding form so far this season, scoring an impressive 24 goals in his 37 Serie B appearances, as well as delivering 10 assists.
