Leicester City target AC Milan striker

English Premier League leaders Leicester City are interested in bringing AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang to the club before the closure of the current transfer window.

The 21-year-old has made nine appearances for the Rossoneri this season under coach Sinisa Mihajlovic but has failed to command a regular starting role.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Italian tactician Claudio Ranieri has targeted the French Under-21 forward after resigning himself to defeat in the chase for Sampdoria striker Eder who looks set for a move to Inter.

Niang signed for the Diavolo from Caen during the summer of 2012 and has since spent loan spells at both Montpellier and Genoa but has failed to live up to his potential which had attracted interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs back in 2012.
