Ghana opponents Mali make two changes to AFCON squad

Injury has forced Mali into making two changes to their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations squad just a day to the start of the competition in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Toulouse defender Mohamed Fofana has been passed unfit for the tournament after suffering a thigh strain during a training session last Sunday and is now replaced by Ousmane Berthe.

Also, Danish-based midfielder Khalilou Traore who has suffered an unspecified injury will be replaced by midfielder Souleymane Keita.

According to Caf's rule regarding the Nations Cup, any team is allowed to make changes to their squad out of the team submission deadline without incurring any penalty 24 hours to the team's opening group game on injury basis.

The Eagles open their Nations Cup account against Guinea on Tuesday before playing Ghana and Botswana to round up their Group D campaign.
