Man City intensify pursuit of Servette striker Lorenzo Gonzalez

Manchester City are intensifying their pursuit of Servette striker Lorenzo Gonzalez.

Real Madrid had emerged as favourites for the 15-year-old from second division side Servette in recent weeks after his first choice, Manchester United, drifted away, says the Daily Mail.

Gonzalez's father is understood to still favour Madrid but the young forward has been swayed by City's interest and Servette coaching staff believe he has already spoken to City's coach-elect Pep Guardiola.

Talks with City took place last Tuesday in Switzerland as they look to snap up a player who is regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe.
