Marcel Dessaily has urged fans to remain patient after the Black Stars chalked mixed results in the opening 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

The West African powerhouse begun the journey to Brazil 2014 on a blistering note following a 7-0  mauling of  Lesotho at the Baba Yara stadium on June 1.

But begging questions have suddenly popped up about the ability of the team to make a third World Cup appearance following the sides 1-0 defeat to African Champions Zambia.

There have even been suggestions for sweeping changes to be made to the squad with others clamouring for the return of some experience old hands to aid the qualifying campaign.

Talks of persuading star striker Asamoah Gyan to return from a self-imposed leave has also resurfaced.

But Desailly, who was once in running to become the head coach of the national team says fans should trust the people in charge to deliver the ultimate.

“We lost against the current African champions and so we should not straight away make judgment,” Desaily said

“Let us be patience. Give a chance. We have the African Cup of Nations in 2013 and the World Cup in 2014. Let’s trust the people in charge,”

Ghana will play Sudan in the third group game at home in March 2014.
