Hearts of Oak Public Relations Officer Opare Addo has clarified reports that former Managing Director of the club Mark Noonan exit from the club has nothing to do with the Umbro deal. 

Hearts of Oak officially announced the resignation of the American on Friday.

There were earlier reports in the media about the Umbro deal which could have caused some friction between Mark Noonan and Hearts of Oak board leading to the exit of the American.

Speaking on the issue Opare Addo debunked any sought of friction between Mark Noonan and the club as it came as a surprise to them when he sent the message.

"It has come as a huge surprised to all of us at Hearts Of Oak when we got Mark Noonan’s message.

"He attributes to family reasons and lack of domestic football in the country as the reasons he has resigned, he told Happy FM.

"The Umbro deal will happen,Mark Noonan resignations has nothing to do with the Umbro deal, he added.

Frederick Moore has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the club and he  begins work on 18 March 2019.
