Mbappe coy on Real link

Published on: 12 June 2019

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has refused to be drawn in on speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid this summer.

The France international has been heavily linked with a move to Real in recent months and he added fuel to the fire when suggesting he could leave the Parc des Princes in search of a new challenge.

Once again he was asked about a potential move to Los Blancos following France's 4-0 win over Andorra on Tuesday night, but the former Monaco star refused to give much of a response to reporters.

"Now is not the time to talk about Real Madrid," he said. "You always ask me the same thing, but it's not the time."

A switch to Los Blancos now looks highly unlikely this summer in any case as Real head coach Zinedine Zidane has already spent heavily on Eden Hazard from Chelsea, while the Manchester United star Paul Pogba is thought to be his next target.

Real endured a disappointing campaign last season and Zidane has been tasked with brining the good times back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos are 11/8 to win the La Liga title next season, while rivals Barcelona are 4/5 to retain their crown.
