Medeama have confirmed defender Gideon Acquah has joined Spanish side Extremadura UD, less than an hour after GHANAsoccernet.com broke the news.
Acquah, 18, has joined the European outfit on an initial loan deal with an option to make it permanent.
The highly-rated defender joined Ghanaian side Medeama in February this year from lower division side Accra Sporting Club.
The club confirmed on Wednesday that the youngster has joined the Spanish second-tier side.

The youngster quickly established himself in the team but has been snapped up by the Spanish side to continue with his development.
