Medeama have announced six of their injured key players are inching closer to a return to first team football.

The Mauve and Yellows have been hit with an injury-crisis which has seen as many as six players being affected.

Midfield maestro Rashid Nortey, Eric Kwakwa and defender Bright Enchil have not kicked a ball since the start of the season.

Ivorian Kalibo Toussaint is also down with a bout of malaria after impressing heavily in pre-season.

Defenders Ali Ouattara and Philip Osei are under observation after picking knocks in their 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko in mid-week.

Despite the injury-crisis, Samuel Boadu has been able to craft a formidable team which is turning heads so far this term.

They lie second on the table after picking 10 points from a possible 12 in their opening four games.

The Tarkwa-based side travel to Dawu's Theatre of Dreams to battle Dreams FC on Sunday.
