Midfielder Michael Anaba scored a goal and provided two assists as Ghana’s Under-20 side thrashed lower side Mpilo FC 4-0 in a friendly on Wednesday.

The Asante Kotoko enforcer who was handed a late call-up into the team last weekend combined effectively at the heart of midfield in a game which was totally dominated by the Black Satellites.

Medeama SC’s Jacob Apau, Armah Ashitey and Latvia-based Baffour Gyawu were the other goal scorers.

Stop-gap coach Maxwell Konadu and his backroom staff have been assessing the players ahead of the 2013 African Youth qualifier against Uganda next weekend.

Their next friendly will be against another lower division side Proud United on Friday before they travel to Akyim Techiman to face Istanbul FC
